Questions
How much would $100 a week in Chainlink be worth now?
Buying $100 of Chainlink every week from Jan 1, 2020 to Nov 1, 2026 means 357 purchases totaling $35,700. That stack would be worth $42,339, a gain of +18.6%.
How far back does the Chainlink data go?
This calculator uses Chainlink (LINK) daily closing prices in USD from Coinbase, starting Jun 27, 2019, when it became available there. The most recent price is from Nov 1, 2026.
What is dollar-cost averaging (DCA)?
Dollar-cost averaging means investing a fixed amount on a fixed schedule, for example $100 every week, no matter what the price is. You buy more coins when the price is low and fewer when it is high, which smooths out your average cost and removes the pressure of timing the market.
How does this calculator work?
For every scheduled date it buys the chosen amount at that day's closing price in USD, as reported by Coinbase, minus the fee you enter. It then values everything you accumulated at the closing price on the end date. Taxes, spreads and withdrawal fees are not included.
Is DCA better than investing a lump sum?
Not always. When prices rise steadily, investing everything at once tends to win because the money is in the market longer. DCA tends to win when prices fall or swing after you start. Its main benefit is lower regret and less timing risk, not a higher expected return. The comparison under each result shows which came out ahead for your dates.
