Since 1 July 2026 only exchanges with a MiCA licence can serve customers in Spain, and Binance is not one of them. These five are licensed, take euros by SEPA transfer and have their app in Spanish. They differ on fees, on recurring buys and on where they are licensed. Here is how they compare, and which one fits what you want to do.

Each exchange in more detail
Bitpanda
Bitpanda, from Vienna, is licensed under MiCA by Austria’s FMA. Depositing euros by SEPA or SEPA Instant is free, and so is withdrawing them. Buying costs a published 0.99% for Bitcoin and stablecoins and 1.49% for most other coins, all in one price with no separate spread.
Its savings plan buys the same amount every week, every two weeks or every month, from €10. Beyond crypto it also sells stocks, ETFs and metals. Bitpanda Fusion, its trading screen, charges a flat 0.25%.
Coinbase
Coinbase is licensed under MiCA in Luxembourg. Euros go in and out by SEPA for free. The simple buy screen charges a spread plus a fee that it shows before you confirm but does not publish as a percentage.
Coinbase Advanced, in the same account, is much cheaper: since 16 September 2026 it charges 0.25% to 0.50% per trade for the lowest volumes in the EU, with no spread. You can also set up recurring buys.
Kraken
Kraken is licensed under MiCA in Ireland. Euro deposits by SEPA and SEPA Instant are free; a SEPA withdrawal costs €1. It lists over 200 coins.
The Kraken app charges 1% for instant and recurring buys, plus a spread. Kraken Pro, with the same account, has an order book from 0.40% maker and 0.80% taker for small volumes.
Revolut
Revolut sells crypto through Revolut Digital Assets Europe, licensed under MiCA in Cyprus. You buy from the euros already in your Revolut account, with no deposit fee. In the app, a buy costs 1.49% on the Standard and Plus plans and 0.99% on Premium and Metal, plus a spread, and Standard plans pay 1% more above €1,000 a month.
Revolut X, its separate exchange, is far cheaper: 0% for orders that wait in the book and 0.09% for orders that fill at once, whatever your volume. It has over 300 tokens.
Bit2Me
Bit2Me, founded in 2015 in Alicante, got its MiCA licence from the CNMV in October 2025. SEPA deposits and withdrawals are free, it has over 300 coins, and its support is in Spanish from Spain. Recurring buys can be daily, weekly or monthly.
Simple buys are expensive: 0.95% plus a spread that Bit2Me puts at around 1.2%, so a little over 2% in total in its own example. Bit2Me Pro is cheaper, from 0.50% to 0.60%. An account with no activity for a year, or no login for three months, pays €10 a month.

Is crypto regulated in Spain?
Yes. Spain applies MiCA, the EU’s crypto law, and the CNMV supervises it. The transition period ended on 1 July 2026: since then, only exchanges licensed in Spain or in another EU country can serve customers in Spain. Binance has no MiCA licence and stopped serving customers in Spain on that date. You can look any company up in the CNMV’s or ESMA’s register by its legal name.
A licence means the exchange must keep your crypto separate from its own and follow EU rules, but your crypto and euros there are not covered by the Fondo de Garantía de Depósitos.
Taxes
Gains from selling crypto, or from swapping one coin for another, are taxed in the savings part of your IRPF return at 19% to 30%, depending on the amount. If the crypto you keep with exchanges based outside Spain is worth more than €50,000 on 31 December, you also file the informative modelo 721. Since January 2026, exchanges across the EU report their users’ crypto to the tax authorities under DAC8. Keep a record of every buy and sell and ask a tax adviser before filing.
