Best crypto exchange in Turkey (2026)

Since Law 7518 of July 2024, crypto platforms serving people in Turkey need permission from the Capital Markets Board (SPK). These four are on its list, take lira by bank transfer and let you buy from your phone. They differ on fees, on recurring buys and, as of late October 2026, on whether you can move your coins out. Here is how they compare.

Order book fees are for the lowest volume tier on lira pairs. A buy with no commission still costs the gap between the buy and the sell price. BtcTurk’s simple screen and Binance TR’s Kolay Al/Sat send market orders, so they pay the taker fee. Your own bank may charge for a transfer. Checked on each exchange’s site on Oct 31, 2026.

Each exchange in more detail

BtcTurk

BtcTurk Kripto is on SPK’s list of platforms allowed to keep operating. Lira deposits are free and arrive 24/7, holidays included, from accounts at Akbank, Denizbank, Fibabanka, İş Bankası, VakıfBank, Yapı Kredi and Ziraat Bankası; from other banks they go by FAST within its limits, or by EFT in banking hours. Withdrawals start at TRY 10 and reach Akbank, İş Bankası, VakıfBank, Yapı Kredi and Ziraat 24/7.

Its simple and advanced screens both trade on the same order book: 0.12% for orders that wait in the book and 0.24% for orders that fill at once, at the lowest volume tier. The minimum trade is TRY 100. It trades about 190 coins against the lira, and Bitcoin withdrawals over the Lightning Network are free. We found no recurring buy feature.

Paribu

Paribu is on SPK’s list. It charges nothing to deposit or withdraw lira; deposits must come from an account in your own name (cards, ATMs and shared accounts are refused), and withdrawals start at TRY 10. Transfers by FAST arrive in minutes, up to TRY 300,000 each; above that they go by EFT on the next business day.

Instant buys in its Kolay al/sat view carry no commission, though you take the market price and cannot set your own. The Pro view charges 0.12% maker and 0.28% taker at the lowest tier. Recurring buys run daily, weekly or monthly from your lira balance; Paribu does not pull money from your bank, so you set up a standing transfer yourself. About 235 coins trade against the lira.

Binance TR

Binance TR is run by Binance Turkey Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu A.Ş., a Turkish company on SPK’s list and separate from binance.com. Its order book charges 0.10% maker and 0.20% taker at the lowest tier, 25% less if you pay fees in BNB. Kolay Al/Sat sends market orders, so it pays the 0.20% taker fee. Its Otomatik Alım recurring buy can run hourly, daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly, with no fee.

Lira goes in by bank transfer from an account in your name. It lists about 300 coins. At the end of October 2026 Binance TR paused crypto withdrawals as a precaution, while trading, crypto deposits and lira deposits and withdrawals kept working; check its announcements before buying if you plan to move coins to your own wallet.

OKX TR

OKX TR is run by OKX TR Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu A.Ş., which is on SPK’s list. Lira moves in and out by havale, FAST or EFT from TRY 1, and OKX TR lists no fee for either direction. Buying crypto from your lira balance in the app has no fee: you pay the price it quotes.

Its order book charges 0.10% maker and 0.22% taker on lira pairs at the lowest tier, with over 130 coins traded against the lira. Recurring buys, set up in the mobile app, run daily, weekly, twice a month or monthly.

How to buy your first Bitcoin in Turkey

  1. Create an account and verify your identity with your Turkish ID card (TC kimlik). It usually takes a few minutes.
  2. Send lira by havale or FAST from a bank account in your own name. Transfers from cards, ATMs or other people’s accounts are sent back.
  3. Buy Bitcoin, or set up a recurring buy so you invest the same amount every week or month.
  4. Once the amount is more than you would be comfortable losing, move it to a wallet you control. Expect to wait at least 48 hours after a buy, and 72 hours for your first withdrawal.

Is crypto regulated in Turkey?

Yes. Law 7518, in force since 2 July 2024, requires platforms that trade or hold crypto for customers to get permission from SPK. Platforms that were already operating can continue while SPK reviews them: it lists them in a provisional list, and says that being on it is not yet a licence. All four exchanges here are on it, under their Turkish companies; Binance appears only as Binance Turkey, the company behind Binance TR, not binance.com. A foreign platform that targets people in Turkey without permission breaks the law, and SPK can have its site blocked. In September 2026 SPK stopped Bitexen from taking new customers or listing new coins.

Since 30 April 2021 crypto cannot be used to pay for goods or services in Turkey, and payment and e-money companies may not move money to or from crypto platforms, so you fund your account by bank transfer. MASAK rules since June 2025 make platforms wait at least 48 hours after you buy, swap or deposit a coin before sending it out (72 hours for your first withdrawal) and cap stablecoin withdrawals at $3,000 a day and $50,000 a month. The law requires platforms to keep your money and coins apart from their own, but crypto is not covered by deposit insurance or the investor compensation fund.

Taxes

Turkey has no tax law written for crypto yet. A bill in early 2026 would have added a 0.03% tax on each sale or transfer through a platform and a 10% withholding on gains made on licensed platforms, but those articles were withdrawn in parliament in late March 2026 to be reworked, and the ruling party said they could return in another bill. How the general income tax rules apply to an individual’s crypto gains is not settled, so keep a record of every buy, sell and transfer with dates and lira amounts (your platform’s account statement helps) and ask a mali müşavir before filing.

Questions

Which crypto exchange is best in Turkey?

It depends on how you buy. For buying every month, Paribu, with daily, weekly or monthly recurring buys and free lira transfers. For the lowest order book fees, Binance TR at 0.10% to 0.20%. For free lira deposits around the clock from the big banks, BtcTurk. For no-fee buys from your lira balance, OKX TR.

Is Binance legal in Turkey?

Binance TR (binance.tr) is run by Binance Turkey, a Turkish company on SPK’s list of platforms allowed to operate. The global binance.com is not on that list, and foreign platforms may not target people in Turkey without SPK permission.

How is crypto taxed in Turkey in 2026?

There is no crypto-specific tax in force. A 0.03% transaction tax and a 10% withholding on gains were proposed in 2026 but withdrawn in parliament in March to be reworked. Keep records of every trade and ask a mali müşavir how the general rules apply to you.

Can I deposit with Papara or a credit card?

No. Since 2021 payment and e-money companies may not move money to crypto platforms, and OKX TR names Papara as a source it will not accept; Paribu and OKX TR also refuse card and ATM transfers. Send lira by havale, FAST or EFT from a bank account in your own name.
